If you have a domestic animal emergency, please call 911 to ask for the CART to be deployed. PASART does not respond to wildlife issues. Please direct those call to the PA Game Commission.

LATEST NEWS: On Saturday, September 20th Westmoreland/Fayette CART held a Fitness Walk with your dog. The event was a Fundraiser to support our County Animal Response Team and presented an opportunity to provide the public with preparedness information and showcase the equipment that has been provided to the CART for response activities/deployments. Westmoreland CART wins local award.
In Community Magazines has selected the Westmoreland County Animal Response Team as Large Non-Profit of the Year for IN Greensburg-Salem Magazine. The team will be recognized for its outstanding volunteer efforts at the inaugural In Community Magazines Community Awards for Service Excellence (CASE) on Friday, May 10 in the West Club Lounge at Heinz Field.
Westmoreland CART holds drill for temporary shelter set-up
On Saturday, April 27th the Westmoreland CART held a drill on the grounds of the Community College in order to practice setting up a temporary animal shelter. The drill was held outdoors since it was a beautiful day. The "team practice session" will allow them to response to an actual need for a shelter in a timely and efficient manner.
